Hi, I’m Doctor Tom.

My journey into physical therapy started long before I became a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

From a young age, I was fascinated with how the body works. Even as a kid, I was fascinated by the everything, from the food I ate to the habits I formed, how the body moves, how it heals, and how everything is connected. I knew from an early age true health had to go deeper than quick fixes or surface level routines.

By the time I was 17, I became a certified personal trainer and quickly built a reputation as one of the most sought-after trainers in my area.

But as I worked with clients, I noticed that personal training had its limits. There were issues my clients faced - pain, injuries, and imbalances - that I couldn’t fully resolve as a trainer. When a client came back from seeing a chiropractor with no improvement, I realized I needed to go deeper. I didn’t want to keep referring people out. I wanted to be the one who solved the problem.

That’s when I decided to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

I earned my doctorate in 2017 and was honored to be chosen as the class keynote speaker. Since then, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings - from outpatient orthopedics to skilled nursing to post-surgical care, and everything in between. I’ve worked with patients and clients of all ages, fitness levels, and degrees of injury. And while each setting and client was different, one thing became clear: real healing takes time, connection, and a systems-level understanding of the body.

But that’s not always possible in fast-paced clinical environments.

I found myself spending more time on patient documentation than on actual healing - rushing through sessions, juggling multiple clients at once, and following rigid protocols that didn’t leave room for real problem-solving. I grew more and more frustrated with a system that felt like it was built to manage patients, not heal them. And every time I spoke with someone who had seen a PT outside of my own client load, I’d hear the same thing: “I went to PT… and it didn’t do anything for me.”

It was frustrating, but it also made sense. How could someone get the care they truly need when they’re one of three patients being treated at the same time?

Which is why I left the clinical world to focus on doing PT in a way that actually helps my clietns see results.

What sets me apart is not just my ability to get results, but my approach to healing. I take the time to explain everything to you, helping you link your problems to your habits, and create mind-muscle connections that make the healing process not only effective but long-lasting. My goal is to set you up with a foundation for continual healing, so you can keep progressing even after our work together is done.

If you’ve struggled for years, exhausted all other options, and feel like there’s no hope left - I’m here to tell you, there is. Let me help you reclaim your life, your movement, and your confidence.
